Tis the Season for Story Magic: Jolly Christmas Books for Your Little Readers! 📚🎄

We have lots of Christmas traditions, one of my favourite ones being that we have a stack of Christmas books that come out on December 1st, and get read in the run up to Christmas. Here’s some of our firm favourites, where the magic of Christmas leaps off the pages! 📖✨

1. "The Polar Express" by Chris Van Allsburg 🚂🌟

All aboard the Polar Express! Join the journey to the North Pole, where the spirit of Christmas comes alive in the most magical way. Hot cocoa and jingling bells, anyone? It really is a timeless classic - I enjoy it as much as the kids do!

2. "Burpee Bears: A Christmas Adventure" by Joe Wicks 🐻🎄

Are you ready for a festive workout with Burpee Bears? Join the bears on a Christmas adventure filled with fun, fitness, healthy recipes and holiday cheer. It's great for keeping little ones active and entertained during the festive season - I really love the way it’s more than just a story.

3. "A Very Noisy Christmas" by Tim Thornborough 🎤🎄

Turn up the holiday volume with "A Very Noisy Christmas"! Tim Thornborough brings an engaging nativity book for pre-schoolers, perfect for reminding us what the holiday season is truly about. This book is designed to be read in whispers and shouts - a lively and engaging read (maybe not one for just before bed!!), be prepared for lots of noisy responses and lots of giggles.

4. "The Christmas Bear" by Ian Whybrow 🐻🎄

Follow the journey of a lovable bear on a wild, festive Christmas Eve adventure! Filled with beautiful illustrations, flaps to lift, and a sprinkle of Christmas spirit, it's a must-read in our house.🐾✨ T is maybe a bit old for it now, but he loves showing E the flaps to lift, and it brings back some lovely memories for me of when he was smaller!)

5. "The Night Before Christmas" by Clement C. Moore 🌙🎅

Buckle up for a classic: it's the night before Christmas, and Santa's getting ready for his grand entrance. One of my earliest memories involves listening to my Dad reading this story to my brother and me on Christmas Eve as a child. We bought this gorgeous pop up version when T was born - I hope it will create lots of memories for our kids as they think of Christmas Eve traditions. This really is the perfect bedtime story for Christmas Eve when you're all snug, waiting for the sound of hooves on the rooftop! 🦌🌟
